Game Rules Mahjong is played by four players, and the objective is to create a winning hand that consists of four sets (either triples or sequences) and one pair.
How the Game Works:
Every player begins with 13 tiles, while the dealer starts with 14 tiles.
Players take turns drawing a tile and discarding one from their hand, aiming to form a winning hand.
The first player to complete four sets (either triples or sequences) and one pair declares “Mahjong” and wins the game.
The game continues until one player wins or all the tiles have been drawn and discarded.
Tile Combinations to Know:
Pong: A set of three identical tiles (e.g., three 2s of Bamboo).
Chow: A sequence of three consecutive tiles within the same suit (e.g., 4-5-6 of Circles).
Kong: A set of four identical tiles (this also gives the player an additional turn).
Pair: Two identical tiles (e.g., two 8s of Characters).
Once a player successfully forms four sets and one pair, the game ends and the final scores are calculated.
